En Clase:

• Jugamos al José Dice y repasamos el pretérito v. imperfecto en el sitio de Colby
• We played Simon Says and reviewed the preterit vs. imperfect on the Colby site
• Tomaron una evaluación de partes del cuerpo y de pretérito v. imperfecto
• You all took and assessment on body parts and preterit vs. imperfect
• Empezaron las redacciónes de sus artistas
• You started your artist reports

En Clase:

• Miramos La Cinta Que Envuelve Una Bomba", un documental de Frida Kahlo
• We watched "The Ribbon Around a Bomb", a documentary about Frida Kahlo

Tarea:

• Study body parts vocab (see the blog post below this for a link to the conjuguemos site) for the assessment tomorrow.
• Here is an answer key for the homework (body parts and numbers) from last night. Here is the answer key to the preterit and imperfect story. 

Partes del Cuerpo

• You can practice body parts on conjuguemos, but here are some things you should know:
• (the) ears - I taught you "(las) orejas" but conjuguemos uses "los oídos".  You can use either - I don't care.
• There are other words we don't have as vocab. SO YOU DON'T HAVE  TO KNOW THESE WORDS but you will see them:
• the jaw = la mandíbula
• the cheek = la mejilla
• the hip = la cadera
• the abdomen = el abdomen
• the thigh = el muslo
• the calf = la pantorrilla
• the hair = el cabello / el pelo
• the gums = las encías
• the forehead = la frente
• the eyelid = el párpado
• the breast = el pecho (same as chest)

En Clase:

• Escuchamos a la canción "En El Muelle de San Blas" de Maná y discutimos el uso del pretérito e imperfecto
• We listened to the song On the Peer of San Blas by Maná and we discussed the use of preterit and imperfect.
• Corrigieron la tarea de partes del cuerpo. 
• You corrected the body parts homework.  Here is the answer key to that if you didn't get to it in class.
• Practicaron con pretérito e imperfecto en el sitio de colby.
• You practiced with preterit and imperfect on the colby website
• Uds. trabajaron en sus investigaciones de artistas
• You all worked on your artist research.

Tarea:

• Cuerpo - hoja 3 
• Pret v. Imp hoja 2
• FINISH artist research form by the end of the day tomorrow (3:15 en punto!!)

• Hablamos del cuento de Picasso de Wikipedia y el uso del pretérito o imperfecto
• We talked about the Wikipedia Picasso story and whether or not we'd use preterit or imperfect
• Practicaron pretérito v. imperfecto en el sitio de red de Colby
• You practiced preterit vs. imperfect on the Colby website.
• Cantamos el rap de números y hicimos unos ejercicios de números
• We sang the numbers rap and did some numbers exercises
• Empezaron las investigaciones de sus artistas
• You started research on your artists

Tarea:

• Optional: Partes del cuerpo - hoja 2
• Optional: Imperfect/Preterit WS Remember -- there are 2 steps to this -- fill in the blanks with preterit or imperfect (LOOK UP PRETERIT VERBS TO SEE IF THEY'RE REGULAR OR IRREGULAR conjugations) and THEN, write WHY you chose preterit or imperfect.

• Hablamos un poquito del uso del pretérito v imperfecto
• We talked a little bit about preterit vs. imperfect

Tarea:

• REQUIRED: REVISE your Les Demoiselles d'Avignon story using the feedback you got from peer review on Friday
• Partes del cuerpo hoja 1 - BUZZ LIGHTYEAR labeling . Make sure you put your articles (el/la) so you know the gender of different body parts.
